12 Degrees & Skiving

what began as year-long challenge has become perpetual until further notice

limn

you washed your face too often
in flume of anguish
of things past
in all things
not yours to font nor welter

you finally smoked all the tomorrows
down to the plucked nub
of
my
patience

featherless, seasons spiral, fall
beech leaves gold
beneath verglas
on the bald pate of the mountain

the falcon pass the window
each day
a fallen remex
for me
reminders

where once
words
nos
gos
dropped
arrows
snow-ward

reminders

that i am the falcon,
streaking beyond the glass
i am
bigger than
i am
i fly
only in the limn of now
slow
i am
slow
regrowing
light & feather
