Re-entry

Screen Shot 2014-11-22 at 6.32.50 pm

topography stark ceiling tiles
a silenced city of roads
well-planned & void
bearing closer

the cough strips the casing
from sleep, the nude bulb a sun
blisters the weather balloon
dissolves on the horizon’s tongue
presses down on the tender
part of my stratosphere

pinned to the undersheet
feathered microbes
a-flutter in the solar wind
