A mix-and-mash poem experiment, interchanging each line from the first and second stanza to create a third. This form has a name – it’s a similar form to others I’ve explore in the one-poetic-form-a-week challenge…but I’m at a loss for it’s name. Can anyone help me out?
exhale
ensigns of the day
breath unfurls tongues
sails into the morning
where myopic fairness lingers
extends jaws that click just out
of reach
of entropy
hours
are a line of fatigued lillies
a drawling dirge against the eye
seeking wideness, water
to hedge bets against the lap-slop
of river bank
called from a barque

poems, prose and pathways
