12 Degrees & Skiving

what began as year-long challenge has become perpetual until further notice

April 10 – As

As

as innocent
as the spider behind the glass

as covert
as the pen i’ve been looking for
the one i’ve been writing with all along

as impatient
as the river
in a winter
that has forgotten how to end

as flowering
as the algal bloom
in the the corner of a shower
in an angle of my mind

as hidden
as the unused synonym
i need right now
